To mark One Hundred Years of the RAF we are delighted to invite Tim Dutton to talk about the PATHFINDER FORCE on Wednesday 25 April 2018

The Royal Air Force (RAF) was formed towards the end of the First World War on 1 April 1918 and is the oldest independent air force in the world. The Pathfinder Force of RAF Bomber Command was a target-making squadron operating during World War Two. Tim Dutton will talk about the background to the force and will describe two life changing events in Luxembourg. The crash of a Pathfinder bomber at Koerich and leading thousands of bombers over Luxembourg, audible to the population below to reassure them that the Allies were still engaged in the fight against the Nazis. Tim is a fascinating and popular speaker in the UK on the Pathfinder Force.

6.40pm Talk commences followed by refreshments and a unique opportunity to enjoy a sneak preview of the British Embassy’s exhibution which will be launched the following day entitled: The RAF and Luxembourg: 100 years
